Wayne Berninger

David COLLINSON - April 22nd, 2018
I saw Wayne's photo and couldn't pass it without leaving a tribute. I remember his image with great affection - 6'7", unbelievably gangly, unruly shock of yellow hair, bottom-of-a-coke-bottle glasses - but I remember more his mildness and his sense of fun. I still feel deprived of having him as a friend for life, but as an example of gentleness I feel he lives on for me and I trust in my children, because knowing him has influenced the way I tried to teach them to be.
